Past is like a fire
We pour water to it
We put mud over it
And it soon dies out
But each time we shake the place
Its remains – the soot
Rises up and fills the air around
Thus we realize the fires have not gone....
It’s still burning under the mud
Under the ground though
its flames are invisible……
At times, the present fills us with thoughts
Feelings that makes us reminisce the past
Each time this happens, the past
Fills our mind and
The incidents and people
associated with it haunt us
to such an extent that
we are filled with those thoughts and
Fail to reconcile all of sudden with the present
The past burns within us with invisible flames
It is said
Dead the past, unborn the future why fret about them
if the present is sweet…
the present is haunted
with thoughts of whether...
Our dead past might
affect our unborn future
How can our present
be sweet or made sweet……
How can our present be saved from
The ever burning
invisible flames of the past…..
Only the omnipresent has the answer.
Past is like a fire
A fire that does not stop burning…..
